Second VP - Ways and Means (Fundraiser)
Coordinates all fundraising events, meets regularly with committee chairs, member of Executive Board. Presides in the absence of the president (in designated order)

Third VP - Volunteers
Coordinates recruitment of volunteers for all PTA-sponsored programs and events, coordinates volunteer recognition, meets regularly with committee chairs, member of Executive Board.
Time Commitment: Attends all meetings, several hours per month working with team members.
Skills Needed: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, Sales and Marketing.

Secretary
Records the minutes of all meetings of the association and Executive Board, records attendance at all meetings, responsible for correspondence, maintains copies of all reports, notices, statements and newsletters, member of Executive Board.

Skills Needed: Strong written communication skills, organization, detail-oriented, skilled at note taking.

Treasurer
Responsible for all funds of the association, managing books and records, budgets, deposits, invoices and receipts for audit, prepares tax returns, member of Executive Board.
Time Commitment: Attends all meetings and events, couple hours per week, heavier hours reconciling fundraising events.
Skills: Strong written communication skills, organization, detail-oriented, time management, Accounting.

Parliamentarian
Advises on questions of parliamentary procedure, responsible for maintaining the association's Bylaws and Standing Rules, chairs Bylaws Review Committee and updates annually as needed, Member of Executive board, appointed by President, does not vote.

Skills Needed: Strong verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, thorough knowledge of Bylaws and Robert’s Rules of Order.

Communications
Coordinates all public communications of the association, acts as aide-to-the-president, meets regularly with committee chairs, member of Executive Board.

Hospitality Chair
Coordinates luncheons or other events for faculty and staff throughout the year, coordinates activities during Teacher Appreciation Week, appoints and coordinates hospitality committee, supplies refreshments for general meetings or events as needed, works within a budget, member of Executive Board.
Time Commitment: Several hours per month.
Skills Needed: Organization, time management, detail-oriented, meal planning.

PROGRAM CHAIRS/COORDINATORS
Arts in Education
Promotes the arts on campus, coordinates National PTA’s Reflections arts program in the fall through event communication, procuring judges, recognizing winners and advancing entries. Reports to VP Programs.
Beautification
Coordinates campus beautification initiatives and maintenance, works closely with school principal to comply with Plano ISD guidelines and regulations for school grounds, works within budget. Reports to VP Programs.
Community Partners
Promotes and coordinates Education fundraising programs and shopping/share programs. Promotes Sponsorship opportunities for businesses throughout the year. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
Council Delegate
Attends all (7) Delegate Meetings of the Katy ISD Council of PTAs, participates as a voting member of that body, and represents interests of Winborn PTA at Council level. Files reports to President and Board of news and events from Council, and coordinates relevant announcements for scheduled communications. Appointed by President.
Cultural Diversity
Researches cultural diversity needs in our school, offers communication regarding cultural events in the surrounding area, coordinates cultural diversity functions such as Culture Fair/Night at the Museum. Reports to VP Programs.
Fall Festival
Plans and organizes fall festival for the Winborn community. Event may include DJ service, silent auction, games, activities, face painting, etc. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
Spirit Night
Coordinates and promotes partnerships with area restaurants and businesses to host periodic “Spirit Nights”. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
Field Day
Works with PE staff to plan and coordinate annual Field Day activities, leads team of volunteers. Annual event usually held in May. Reports to VP Programs.
Fall Product Based Fundraiser
Coordinates with vendor or provider on order forms, promotion and delivery of products. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
School Supplies
Coordinates ordering, inventory, sales and distribution of pre-packaged school supplies. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
5th Grade Party Chair
Appoints and coordinates special event for 5th grade graduating class. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
Spirit Wear
Coordinates the design, ordering, inventory, sales and distribution of school spirit wear such as t-shirts. Reports to VP Ways and Means.
Spring Fundraiser
Coordinates spring fundraiser (sales of magazines, frozen cookie dough, gifts, etc.). Reports to VP Ways and Means.
Webmaster
Maintains Winborn PTA website with items of interest. Reports to VP Communications.
Yearbook Editor
Coordinates annual school yearbook. Responsible for design, compilation and printing, secures bids from vendors, coordinates sales and distribution. Coordinates the photography volunteers per grade. Reports to VP Communications.
MORE WAYS TO BE INVOLVED & VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are needed throughout the year to help with one time special projects, events, programs, in the classroom, workroom and other needs.
Please note: A PISD background clearance is required for all volunteers.
Financial Reconciliation Committee
Three volunteers needed to audit PTA Books, Accounting background not required. Check for double signatures, contracts, proper records, etc. Once per year in June/early July, 3-4 hour time commitment.
Book Fair Volunteer
Work one or more shifts during the week of book fair selling books, assisting younger grade levels with selections; assist with event set up and tear down. Events in fall and spring.
Classroom Volunteer
Attend classroom parties to assist with games, activities and snacks, may donate requested party supply items, chaperone field trips (if requested), classroom reading (grade level applicable), etc.
Fall Festival Volunteer
Assist as needed with fall festival. Duties may include event prep, ticket sales, set up, and tear down.
Field Day Volunteer
Work half or full day shift for Field Day event in May, assist with activity stations, set up and tear down
Hospitality Team Member
Work shift for teacher/staff hospitality event set-up, serving and clean up, as needed, donate requested items for hospitality events throughout the year.
Library Volunteer
Assist librarian as needed, check in/out books during classroom visits, assist with shelving books.
Photography Volunteer
1-2 volunteers per grade to take photos for the yearbook and other publications. Camera with high quality images is necessary. Rotate attending events both in school and after school when necessary. Report to Yearbook Coordinator/Designer to upload images to the Google Drive.
Classroom Liaison
Work with grade level coordinator to plan and implement winter and friendship parties, schedule classroom readers (if applicable), may organize special appreciation treats, etc.
Workroom Volunteer
Assist with classroom needs in the workroom (laminating, die-cutting, cutting, counting, etc.). Volunteers needed weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and for special projects.
